Can’t stress enough, is the person who is working on your boiler licensed? Before you allow someone to work on your steam & hot water system, you should verify that they are licensed to do so.

Boilers can last most of a lifetime but they need to be taken care of. Annual temperature & pressure calibrations can make or break a system. Annual inspection of safety devices, as well as redundant safety devices are incredibly important for your safety and the safety of those around you. Air mitigation is a periodic must do also.

Some of the brands we recommend are Dunkirk, Intellihot and Lochinvar, but click here for more information about other brands of boilers.

Most heating failures occur when the heater is working it’s hardest (ie: when it’s very COLD outside and the equipment is trying to keep up). Regularly scheduled maintenance can allow an HVAC professional the opportunity to recognize red flags and make repairs to the system before the equipment fails.

Be sure to keep in mind:

  • Change your filter every month to avoid costly service calls.
  • We DO recommend collecting estimates for replacements. Be sure to ask for a copy of the load calculation so you can compare your quotes. Always verify contractor licensing before scheduling an appointment. (Verify licenses here)
  • If a company pushes one brand, be wary. Their loyalties may lie with a manufacturer and not the customer.

Some of the brands we recommend are Amana, American Standard, Lennox, Rheem and Trane (standard or high efficient models available), but click here for more brand options.

We are a registered Xcel Energy contractor and are happy to offer energy rebates on qualifying high efficient installations.

Change your filter every month to avoid service calls. Central AC runs through the same ductwork used by the furnace. Keep that furnace or heat pump filter clean.

Clean the condenser outside before starting it up in the spring. While condenser is off, spray in an upward direction, from the bottom of the condenser up. Avoid the mechanical corner of the condenser.

Be sure to keep in mind:

  • If you are not comfortable doing a spring AC cleaning, we are happy to come do one for you.
  • We offer cooling options to fit any size home, from standard central air conditioning systems to energy efficient mini split systems. Always verify that the contractor is licensed before scheduling an appointment.
